I received the most amazing fibres the other day! Australian Alpaca wool roving blended with silk in its natural colours.
I couldn't wait to play with it, so much to my husbands disgust (he thinks I'm a little obsessed with my art)I went out to my shed rugged up (its Winter here) at 8pm to make a scarf using the lovely black and silver roving.
Now I love the softness and sheen of this scarf but it seems to be shedding somewhat. Merino wool doesn't do this, and maybe it is normal for alpaca fleece? Maybe it just needs a few washes? If anyone knows about the intricacies of this fibre get back to me.
And I finished this blue felt beret. I had recently purchased some lovely green recycled sari ribbon and thought it would add a nice touch to the blue.
I then added this golden yellow silk brooch I had made a while back. Too cute I think!
