It was a beautiful sunny day today. Very nice for the middle of Winter! I had full intentions of cleaning the house ( it is on the market and I should be keeping it spick and span) but really, the sun was shining and all sane people lacking in vitamin D would want to out in it playing, surely?
So, I wandered around the garden with cup of tea in hand and came across this amazing burgundy Sedum. Isn't Mother Nature clever? she knows all about complementary colours. Just look at the colour of this flower spike! The pic is a little bright, but hey, the sun was shining :-)
I did get to the studio this evening for a little while though, and before it got too cold I have laid out a long length of white tissue silk and layered it with white wool and shiny white tencel. I'm thinking a bridal shawl/stole. I'll see tomorrow when I finish it.
Oooh, and that' right, I also spent some money on some amazing silk and wool roving mix online. I usually dye all of my own but couldn't help myself, the colours were so pretty. I'll show you when they arrive.
Catch you later
