Cloth,Paper, Scissors and Quilting Arts magazines are my 'go to' for inspiration and I subscribe to their weekly emailed hints. I thought it was interesting that this weeks installment included a video walk through of Pokey Bolten's studio. It shows the wire baskets filled with fabric that I featured a few days ago. If you haven't already discovered these mag's, you are MISSING OUT! In the meantime, visit Pokey's studio and be inspired. I now need to find me some baskets...

I feel some collaged fabric coming on and have dyed up some cotton with tea bags as a start, but will show you what I will be doing with that soon!

In the meantime, another little apron was created with that lovely stuff I found the other day at Spotlight. I had finished the pocket for it, then decided it was a little dull, colourless and boring - not my style at all! So, searching through my stash, found some nice dark green batik print that would work as a contrast. It still needed a splash of colour so I then decided on an applique flower. OMG! I have done free machine embroidery with collage before, but not traditional applique. Fiddly to say the least!

But I persevered and I think the finished apron is quite cute.

Off to dye up some muslin now, and maybe my silk has arrived in the post.....
